Embedded Mode is a feature in Welcome Mat that allows you to place your Mat exactly where you want it to appear on your page. The Mat will no longer automatically load full-page and take over your visitor's browser.

You can enable Embedded Mode by editing a Welcome Mat campaign form and navigating to the Visibility tab. Make sure Smart Mode is disabled so that the advanced options appear, then scroll down to the Display area.

Simply select Embedded in the Display Mode dropdown.

Note that for the best user experience, you should not use Embedded Mode together with the Instant Landing Page feature.

By default, Embedded Mode will automatically place your Welcome Mat below the fold in your visitors' browsers. You can see a great example of an automatically embedded Welcome Mat here: https://sumome.com/example/welcome-mat/embedded

Note that if the browser viewing your page is too tall or the length of your page is too short for the Mat to fit below the fold, the Mat will be embedded at the very bottom of the page.

Additionally, if you would like to specify the placement within your page, you have the ability to manually embed the Welcome Mat:

A manually embedded Welcome Mat will be positioned exactly where you set it to be. This is useful if you want to place the Mat in a spot other than below the fold in your visitors' browsers.

To do so, once you select Embedded as the display mode, click the Manually Control Placement link. It will reveal an HTML snippet that you can paste into your webpage where you want the Welcome Mat to appear.
